Gill joined Odgers Berndtson in December 2006 as a Partner in the Board Practice with a remit to develop an Information, Communication & Entertainment (ICE) practice. Based in the London office, she is also a member of the Technology & Professional Services Practice and is Vice-Chair of the Private Equity Practice.
Before she became a headhunter, Gill sat on the Board of a quoted commercial and display lighting company. She was formerly Chair of the Technology and Media Practice within another leading executive search firm which she joined in 2000 following a merger with GKR, the company with which she began her career in search in 1982. In her early career with GKR she worked with the founders as a generalist across all sectors. In more recent years she concentrated largely on media, culture, leisure and entertainment projects at board level, including the appointment of external directors and public affairs specialists.
Senior assignments handled include the Chairman and Chief Executive of Channel 4, numerous non-executive appointments for Channel 4, Chair and eight Trustees of the BBC Trust and multiple appointments for ITV, Corporate Affairs Director for Tesco and two Directors of Corporate Affairs for Camelot.
Gill is currently Chair of the Women of the Year Lunch, which for the past 53 years has honoured the achievements of 500 women from all walks of life.
