José Medina's Blog in Expansion & Empleo

In June 2007 when Expansión & Empleo launched blogs on their new website, they invited José Medina to post his blog Ithaca every Thursday.

As José Medina himself explained at the outset of this new endeavor: “I chose Ithaca as the name of my blog because we set so many goals and objectives in our careers and lives in this ever so competitive world and more important than succeeding or not in our attempts to reach them, I believe, is to travel the road with hope. This is exactly what Ulysses did in what seemed like a never-ending journey and he finally reached his home.”

And with this philosophy, the blog offers new perspectives or invites its readers to reflect on the problems faced by executives and other professionals throughout the various stages of their careers. To date, the blog has covered a wide spectrum of topics from executive search to market trends. José Medina shares experiences gained throughout his exceptional career and occasionally talks about real cases or uses anecdotes as a way to comment or analyze different situations.
